Eating Disorders

Do you struggle with negative thoughts about your body or appearance?  Do you use food as a means of coping with feelings, either by restricting food intake or binging on large quantities of food?  Society gives us unrealistic, and often unhealthy, messages about body image and appearance.  At least 30 million people of all ages and genders suffer from an eating disorder in the U.S.

With my counselor, I felt I was coming to a safe place where I could share honestly.  There never was any indication of judgement or criticism.

A Samaritan Counselor can work with you to help identify distorted thoughts and beliefs that may lead to disordered patterns of eating and negative self-image.  Also, you will learn new behaviors and strategies to cope with intense feelings in order to live a healthier and more balanced life.
