Self-acceptance can be challenging when dealing with issues related to LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, questioning). Sexual orientation, gender identity, gender confusion and ‘coming out’ are difficult topics to address. Additionally, family, friends and co-workers may be judgmental and lack knowledge and sensitivity.
It was good to talk to someone who didn’t know me and wouldn’t judge me because they know my parents.
Samaritan Counseling Center offers acceptance, non-judgmental support and counseling to deal with sexual identity issues.
